“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” – Albert Einstein

Brooke Stambersky, owner of Brooke’s Bitchin’ Stitches, began her quilting journey a few years ago. She has always been a creative and crafty lady, and when she finds a new craft she dives right in! Throughout the years she has found herself as a cake decorator, chocolatier, paper and vinyl craft maker, and now a quilter, machine embroiderer, longarmer, pattern designer, and fabric collector.

The one thing that all these hobbies and crafts have in common is that they provide Brooke a creative outlet. The opportunity for her to clear her mind, design, create, and continuously learn new techniques and processes. Brooke, a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager, uses her career skills to design and make quilts. She likes to plan each quilt as she would a project, where the quilt walks through the journey of planning, designing, executing, and celebrating the completed project.

Brooke, originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, resides in Western North Carolina with her husband Eric and fur baby Remington. In her spare time, she enjoys working on quilt and machine embroidery projects while watching Lifetime movies, reading, and vacationing with her family.
