The Big Picture: What This Road Trip Is

Stitching across the USA—one state at a time!

Think of it like a cross-country tour of the U.S. — only instead of roadside diners and souvenir shops, you’re collecting state-inspired pixelated quilt patterns you can sew from the comfort of your own sewing room.

Each stop brings a brand new or favorite state design from my Home Pattern Quilt Series, and with every release, I’ll be sharing:

• The inspiration behind the design

• Tips for choosing fabric and planning your layout

Each pattern will be available two ways:

• Digital Download – Instant PDF you can print at home and start stitching right away

• Printed Copy – Shipped to your door, professionally printed for easy reading and long-term keeping

You’ll find both options listed in the shop for each state.

FAQs

Do I have to make every state? Nope! This is your Road Trip. Quilt just your favorite states, the ones you’ve lived in, or the whole dang country. Your choice.

Are these beginner friendly? Absolutely. My pixelated patterns are designed to be simple, quick to piece, and satisfying to complete. If you can sew squares together, you can do this.

What if I fall behind? No worries! This isn’t a timed challenge. Patterns will stay available in my shop, and blog posts will live on so you can revisit them anytime.

Will you tell us what fabrics to use? Yes! I share inspiration and fabric tips with each pattern drop — including my own color choices and layout suggestions. You’ll never be left guessing.

Is it free to follow along? Yes! The experience is free — just sign up for emails to get pattern updates and all the fun. The patterns themselves are available to purchase individually (digital or printed).
