As an 80s kid, this design was an absolute blast to create. When QT Fabrics announced their "Quilts Through the Decades" theme, my mind immediately went to one iconic symbol of the decade—the cassette tape.

Before playlists, Spotify, and digital downloads, there were mixtapes. Carefully curated songs recorded one by one, often made for friends, road trips, special occasions, or maybe even a secret crush. There was something magical about creating the perfect mixtape, and I wanted to capture that same feeling in quilt form.

Patchwork Mixtape is a vibrant, colorful pixelated quilt featuring a retro cassette tape surrounded by playful hearts, triangles, and squares. The design embraces everything we loved about the 1980s:
